It dawned on me today that I hate the winter. No, I utterly and completely loath it! Aside from Christmas, winter is good for nothing but being pale, cold, wet, and depressed. It's also stressful. With the end of one semester and the beginning of another semester there is enough stress to cause a psychotic breakdown. Unless of course you live in Utah and the winter lasts until freaking April! Anyway, my dislike for winter leads me to believe that everything good happens in the summer. I'll even prove it to you: For starters, you've got my wedding and honeymoon, which in turns leads to my anniversary every year. Then there's the 4th of July and no school. Don't forget the SUN which allows for tanness, warmness, greenness, and the ability to go outside. All in all, I wish it was summer, but it's not and therefore I am sad. All I can do now is take a trip in my mind to last summer.

The Latest of a Naughty Teenage Cat
We love her. Some may say we are a little over-obsessed, and we are, but we like it that way. I often wake up in the night and she is chewing on my hair, so that's a problem; but on other nights I wake up and she is snuggled up in my arms like a baby doll. How can I complain?

Tess Elise
Tess is 18 (yesterday), my sister, and my best friend.
She's beautiful, sporty, blonde, hilarious, and the greatest best friend anyone could ask for. She can play soccer, ride horses, play guitar, paint/draw/pastel like a madwoman, and will beat anyone's butt in jujitsu. Not to mention, she's a little genius and far surpasses me in anything academic, which is fine. And then to top it off, when she accomplishes huge things or wins big awards for art or academics, she won't even tell anyone. She's humble and reasonable. I'm neither which is why we balance each other out. She's always been a shoulder to cry on, but will tell it to you straight after you stop crying. I am willing to bet a million dollars there is not one person on this earth who doesn't like Tess, and if there is, they should really think things over. All in all, I couldn't ask for a better sister. Although she is younger, I've always looked up to her and admired her personality and strength.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TESS, I LOVE YOU.

Three Happy Things
1. a scrumptious tax return is coming our way.
2. my brother and sister in law are having a girl in June
3. my sister is turning 18 on Wednesday
yes, yes, and yes.
on a sadder note, not that it matters now, but Ed won't agree to any of my baby names. namely boy names because he thinks it's dumb to pick names that you just like instead of naming a baby after someone you love. lame.

Giddy.

Just feeling nostalgic. It's crazy to think that we took these engagement photos almost two years ago because I remember it like yesterday. It was slightly raining, so I was freaking out about my hair. We both hadn't eaten for hours and we were starving. I wanted to wear the best outfit ever, but in the end stayed really casual, because who are we faking?....Ed and I are not exactly hipsters or high fashion. Most of all though, we were so giddy. I like the last picture, it's totally weird, and it's totally us. Don't get me wrong, I love being married, but I will never get tired of thinking about when we were dating and engaged. SO GIDDY. happy, smiley, silly, butterflies all the time, and we didn't care about anything else in the world. Marriage puts you back down on earth, but in a good way. I'm so thankful for every minute I have spent with my Edward.
hmmm...that was kind of a Valentine's post wasn't it?

Cruise, Brandon Davies, Blessings
I have a new obsession with McDonalds 50 cent cherry pies. I have had FIVE in the last TWO days. yes, that means three the first night and two more the second night. And now I want another.
Friday night: went to Sensuous Sandwich. Watched two horrible movies. Went to sleep with a headache, woke up in the middle of the night hurting worse, woke up in the morning thinking my brain was going to explode.
Saturday: still laying in bed. Picking out bathing suits I want this year and realizing I probably won't even get to go to the beach this summer (tears are likely to come). I'm pretty sure it will be the first summer of my life with no beach time. BUT, Ed and I are planning a CRUISE for December this year! We are both graduating in Dec. and figured for Christmas what better to do than go on a second honeymoon? No presents, just sun, sand, blue sky, food, and exotic islands.
I'm thinking about the future a lot. Kind of freaking out about grad school. Can't wait to learn more about being a therapist and then actually do it. Right now I feel more confident than ever that I am doing what I am supposed to do (career wise).
I have been volunteering at the Utah State Hospital. I basically just hang out, play games, color, and talk with adults with mental illnesses. Schizophrenia is the most common. It's interesting and fun and a great learning experience, but mostly there is a huge feeling of sadness lurking there, or maybe that's just my perception of it. Everyone has different trials in life, and I guess that mental illness is theirs, but it makes me feel so spoiled. Let me rephrase, I feel blessed. Truly blessed, but somewhat guilty that my life is so easy compared to so many. Here I am talking about cruises and bathing suits and grad school and there are people throughout the world who are just trying to survive. Okay I am being a downer.
On a happier note, BYU won the basketball game against San Diego State. The game was so much fun to watch with friends and I developed a MAJOR crush on Brandon Davies. haha I love my husband, but a good looking black boy.......okay I will stop.
I'm liking these really random posts, they are easy and I will probably stick to them for a while.
Do yourself a favor and be more productive than me today.
